For those of you who are of age, here is the recipe for the best margaritas EVER. This is my mom's recipe. We call them "He is Risen" margaritas which sounds exceedingly sacrilegious -and come to think of it, it probably is - but we had them on Easter at my mom's once and quipped that while everyone else had chocolate bunnies and fake grass (also sacrilegious?), we were having the best margaritas in the world:
Mix one to one of each:
1 12oz can of frozen limeade
12 oz of Tequila
(use the empty limeade can to measure)
1 12 oz bottle of Mexican beer (any beer will work, but we are partial to Corona)
12 oz of Sprite or 7up (Sprite is more sweet)
Stir.
Add fresh lime and salt to the edge of a cool-looking glass and voila!
You have the PERFECT Margarita!
Enjoy and drink responsibly!

You forgot an important ingredient: cheesey dance music. Margaritas are great, but margaritas with Technotronic or Tone-Loc in the background, priceless. 'Won't you take me to... Funky town'
Shut-up! It's all about C and C Music Factory and Justin Timberlake...
I must object. We ARE model shower hosts precisly because ours involve TX hold'em.
Dude!Let other people comment. It's pathetic that our conversation is from lap top to pc. You're in the same room as me. Too bad the Gwen Stefani is too loud for conversation.
"If I were a rich girl..."
LOVE HER!
oooh boy, i love you so, never ever ever gonna let you go.
Sure, I could yell across the room, but what fun would that be? Besides, this way the inner workings of or relationship are preserved for study & presented to the masses for emulation. It's for the good of humanity, Ginger.
If by the masses you mean the three other people who read my blog, then you're right, except if they're married already (and know better). As far as humanity is concerned.. they're screwed! Especially if they're reading THIS!
BTW, this is probably the most number of comments I've ever had. I'm feeling pretty special right now.
Cheers to comments!
AND what the hell is this music?
Three? There has to be at least four. Maybe even five. As far as feeling good - that's the margaritas. I don't know what's up with that song though; did we switch to the Bollywood chanel? Cool. What about now? "No parking on the dance floor."
Back to life - back to reality!
However do you want me, however do you need me?!
'How can you just leave me standing alone in a world that's so cold?' Prince for president, but not today's Prince; Prince fromn 1985. Ok Christine, he's still cool, but not AS cool.
I was all excited that you had 10 comments! You guys are such losers, but I love you so much and you have such cool music on in your house that I must say I love you anyway.
Thanks for the margarita recipe. I will try it asap. Since margaritas are my favorite poison, it will probably knock me on my ass, so I better warn John to Hide The Children.
Also, C+C Music Factory? Oh yeah.
Slightly off subject, but not really: Did I mention I am seriously considering taking a bartending course? It's been on my Life List for several years and I found one in Tacoma. I'm starting to tell people and I love the looks on their faces.
Yeah. I'm that cool.
Clearly by loser you must mean 'super cool'
These comments cracked me up! Israel and I text message back and forth all time. He's in our room and I'm in the living room. It is mainly because we are too lazy to just go to the other room. We ARE losers!
It truly was the best shower EVER and you guys are the best friends EVER! The margaritas and hold 'em only made it that much better. Miss ya'll, call us soon!!!
